The Hellenic-Swedish Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 7th Business Forum Greece-Sweden, entitled “Climate Action: Challenges and Solutions”, which will take place on May 19th, 2022, at the Museum Benaki / Pireos 138 at 13.00 hrs. in cooperation with the Embassy of Sweden in Greece.
The effects of climate change have become much more apparent through widespread, extreme, and unprecedented forms of natural disasters, highlighting the need for coordinated actions related to disaster risk prevention and management. The 7th Business Forum Greece-Sweden focuses on the appraisal of the current conditions and needs, on the structural reforms in civil protection mechanisms to prevent and respond to imminent threats, on financing mechanisms for climate change adaptation and mitigation, as well as on the contribution of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools. Another thematic pillar will be the Circular Economy as a business and growth model.
The Forum will emphasize on the challenges in adapting to the multi-layered impacts of climate change, both for businesses and the economy. Τhe strategies adopted in International and European context will be examined, focusing on Swedish and Greek policies.
It is with pleasure to welcome the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Mr. Christos Stylianides, as keynote speaker of the 7th Business Forum, while the Opening Session will start with welcome remarks by the President of the HSCC, Mrs. Rania Patsiopoulos, and the Ambassador of Sweden to Greece, H.E., Mr. Johan Borgstam.With internationally renowned speakers from across the many disciplines and business sectors related to the challenges of the climate crisis, the 7th Business Forum Greece-Sweden aims to be an exciting, and educational event, expecting to create a space for discussion around the future of Climate Actions, bringing together a mixed audience, building relationships between companies and partners from Sweden and Greece, and provide our Members and Audience with content knowledge and expert input.
